Mingda Town is located in the northwest of Liangping County, Chongqing, 21 kilometers away from the county town, bounded by longitude 107°36′30″-107°43′10″, latitude 30°42'06″-30°47'52″, neighboring Ansheng Township and Xingqiao Township (the former Chengbei Township) in the east, Lijiang Township in the south, Zhushan Township in the west and Longmen Township in the north, with a total area of 58.9 square kilometers, a cultivated area of 3054 hectares, and 16 kilometers away from Liangping County. (former Chengbei Township), south of Liyang Township, west of Zhushan Township, north of Longmen Township, 16 kilometers away from Liangping County, with an area of 58.9 square kilometers, arable land area of 3,054 hectares, and a fallow forest area of 55.3 hectares; the built-up area of the township covers an area of 2.5 square kilometers. Minda township has a long history, the Qing Yongzheng eight years (1730) built the field, known as Yangjiazui, the Republic of China at the beginning of the Minda Township, 1992 by the former Minda Township and the former Tiantai Township merger township.
