Lijiang Town is located in the hinterland of Liangping County in the eastern part of Chongqing Municipality, 15 kilometers away from the county town, 20 kilometers away from Liangping Railway Station, and 15 kilometers away from the entrance of Yuwan Expressway. It lies between longitude 107°34'30''-107°40'48'' east and latitude 30°39'25''-30°44'38'' north. Lijiang town is the inheritance base of national intangible cultural heritage program - Liangping Laizi gongs and drums, and has 3 municipal intangible cultural heritage programs: Lijiang grass handle dragon, blue print cloth, mourning song; 32 county-level intangible cultural heritage programs. 2008 Lijiang town was awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China "National Hometown of Folk Culture and Art". Bean processing and fishery farming are the two specialties of the economy of Lijiang Town. 2014 social gross output value of 539 million yuan, the total industrial output value of 540 million yuan. The national and local taxes completed 30.1928 million yuan, the local financial income 15.7184 million yuan, an increase of 57.34% over 2011, fixed asset investment 250 million yuan, an increase of 29.53% over 2011, the financial institutions deposits and loans amounted to 435 million and 14 million yuan .
