Bishan Township is located in the northwest of Liangping County, 61 kilometers away from the county seat. It is neighboring Yuanyi Township in the east, Qixing Township in the south, Dazhu County in the west, and Hu Township in the north. It has an area of 48 square kilometers and a population of more than 26,000 (2008). Jurisdiction of Huangqiao, Xinyuan, Bishan, Jinping, Qingping, Longqiao, Chuanzhong, Shuiyan, Pingqiao, Xiaoxie 10 administrative villages, 74 village groups. It is located in the area of shallow hills and flat dams, and is crossed by National Highway 318.
