Donggaochun Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Pinggu District, Beijing. It lies between longitude 117°01′11″~117°10′48″ East and latitude 40°02′57″~40°07′40″ North. It is located in the northeastern part of Beijing and the southern part of Pinggu District, bordering Xiagezhuang Town in the east, Duanjialing Town in Sanhe City, Hebei Province in the south, Mafang Town in the west and Pinggu Town in the north. The town area is 55.91 square kilometers. In July 1956, Donggao Village area belonged to Donggao Village and Menlouzhuang 2 townships.In January 1958, Donggao Village Township was merged into Menlouzhuang Township; in September, the township was changed to a commune and merged into Chengguan People's Commune.In June 1961, Donggao Village People's Commune and Menlouzhuang People's Commune were established.In April 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In March 1990, Donggao Village Township was changed to a township.In June 2000, Menlouzhuang Township was merged into it. As of the end of 2018, Donggaocun Township had a household population of 33,036. As of June 2020, Donggao Village Township has 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located at No. 55 Xingye Road, Donggao Village Township.
