Daxingzhuang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Pinggu District, Beijing, lies between longitude 117°00′31″~117°04′54″ East and latitude 40°07′04″~40°10′48″ North. Located in the east of Pinggu District, it is across the river from Pinggu City in the east, across the river from Donggao Village in the south, connected with Machangying Town in the southwest, adjacent to Yukou Town in the west and north, and across the river from Wangxinzhuang Town in the northeast. The town area is 24.73 square kilometers. In January 1958, Daxingzhuang area was established as Daxingzhuang Township; in September, the township was changed to a commune and merged into Yukou People's Commune.In June 1961, Daxingzhuang People's Commune was established.In April 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In June 2000, the township was changed to a town. As of the end of 2018, Daxingzhuang Township had a household population of 20,286.
