Sanqiaohe Town, belonging to Fengqing County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province, is located in the south of Fengqing County, bordering with Xueshan Town in the southeast, Yingpan Town and Guo Dazhai Township in the southwest, adjacent to Mengyou Town in the northwest, and connected with Luodang Town and Fengshan Town in the northeast. The administrative area covers 280.78 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Sanqiaohe Township had a household population of 27,741.
In December 1972, it belonged to Three Forks River Commune.In March 1984, it was changed to Three Forks River District.In March 1988, the district was abolished and changed to township.In June 2002, it was changed to Three Forks River Township. As of June 2020, Sanqiaohe Town has 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The people's government of the town is located in San Fork River Street.
