Mengyou Town, belonging to Fengqing County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province, is located in the western part of Fengqing County, bordering Fengshan Town in the east, Sanqiaohe and Yingpan Town in the south, Mengtong Town and Hot Spring Township of Changning County, Baoshan City in the west, and Dasi Township in the north, with an area of 385.78 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Mengyou Township has a household population of 50,809. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), three townships, Xinmin Township (Menghyou), Xiqian Township, and Zhongxing Township (Fork Road), were merged to form Menghyou Township.In June 2002, the township was abolished and set up as a township.In October 2005, Desiree Township was merged into Menghyou Township. As of June 2020, Mengyou Township has 20 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located on Mengyou Street. In 2019, Mengyou Town has 51 industrial enterprises, including 2 above-scale industries, and 15 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
