Hsinchu County (新竹县, HsinchuCounty) is a county-level administrative region of Taiwan Province of the People's Republic of China, surrounded on three sides by mountains and bordered on the west by the Taiwan Strait. The county seat is the city of Zhubei. Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, geographically adjacent to the county municipality of Hsinchu City in 1982 from Hsinchu County was elevated to a municipality in Taiwan, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, the boundary of Touqian Creek, Touqian Creek to the north of Hsinchu County. The county's residents are mainly Hakka people, but in recent years the development of the Hsinchu Science Park has attracted many foreigners to move in.
Hsinchu County has a humid subtropical climate. The average annual temperature is 21.8℃, with an average temperature of 15℃ in January and 27.9℃ in July. Tourist attractions include Hukou Old Street, Yingxi Gate of Jhuche City, and Neiwan Scenic Area.
In 2013, the GDP of Hsinchu County amounted to 5.462 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% from 2012. Based on the average annual resident population, the per capita GDP was 33,770 yuan, an increase of 8.8%.
