Shuangkou Town, belonging to Beichen District of Tianjin, is located in the northwestern part of Beichen District, bordering Beicang Town and Shuangjie Town in the east, neighboring Xiqing District in the south, and bordering Wuqing District in the west and north, with an area of 72.4 square kilometers of the town's administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Shuangkou Town had a household population of 45,328.
In April 1983, Shuangkou and Qiaohua Commune were changed to townships. in January 1985, Qiaohua Township was renamed Shanghetou Township. in December 1995 and March 1999, the two townships were changed to townships. in October 2001, Shanghetou Township was merged into Shuangkou Township. As of June 2020, Shuangkou Township has 21 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the People's Government of the township is located at the junction of the east side of Jingfu Highway and the north side of Jinbao Expressway.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Shuangkou Town was 210 million yuan, an increase of 33.5% over the previous year. Among them, the local financial income of 0.7 billion yuan, an increase of 34.1% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of sales tax of 0.03 billion yuan, value-added tax of 0.08 billion yuan, corporate income tax of 0.03 billion yuan, personal income tax of 0.05 billion yuan, respectively, compared with the previous year, an increase of -2.3%, 29.8%, 46.4%, 116.9%, and the per capita net income of farmers 14,000 yuan. As of the end of 2019, Shuangkou Township had 814 industrial enterprises, including 39 industrial enterprises above scale, and 47 supermarkets or general stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
