Dakoutun Town, part of Baodi District, Tianjin, is located in the western part of Baodi District, bordering Haogezhuang and Zhouliangzhuang towns to the east, Niujiapai town and Cuihuangkou town of Wuqing District to the south, Hebeitun town of Wuqing District and Xianghe County of Hebei Province to the west, and bordering Chaoyang Street and Xinkaikou town in the north, and is 18 km from Baodi urban area, with a total regional area of 88.07 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dakoudun Town had a household population of 50,482. In 1958, Dakoutun Township was established and changed to Dakoutun Commune in the same year; in 1987, it was changed from Dakoutun Township to Dakoutun Town. As of June 2020, Dakoudun Town has 58 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located in Zhenbei Village. As of the end of 2019, there are 125 industrial enterprises in Dakoudun Town, of which 13 are above scale, and there are 63 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
