Sidian Town, belonging to Ningyang County, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwestern part of Ningyang County, connecting Xiangyin Township in the east, Caohe Township and Xiaomeng Township of Yanzhou City in the south, Dongshu Township in the west, and Wenmiao Street and Baxianqiao Street in the north, with an administrative area of 56.06 square kilometers in the town. As of the end of 2019, Sidian Town had a household population of 44,249. In August 1983, it was changed to Chengnan District, which was the dispatching authority of the county party committee and the county government.In December 1985, Chengnan District was abolished, and the five townships under its jurisdiction, namely, Sidian, Xuqiao, Dameng, Shazhuang, and Niucun, were merged to establish the new Sidian Township.In December 1994, the township was changed to a township. As of June 2020, Sidian Township has 36 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government of the township is located in Sidian Village. In 2011, the total financial income of Sidian Township was 32.7306 million yuan, an increase of 28.8% over the previous year. Among them, the local financial income of 10,335,700 yuan, an increase of 35.5% over the previous year. From the perspective of each major tax type, 6,370,500 yuan of sales tax, 1,598,000 yuan of value-added tax and 590,600 yuan of enterprise income tax were completed. As of the end of 2019, there were 59 industrial enterprises in Sidian Township, including 12 industrial enterprises above the scale, and 60 supermarkets or general stores with business area over 50 square meters.
