Ge Shi Town, belonging to Ningyang County, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, is located in the south-central part of Ningyang County and the mountainous area in the middle of Shandong Province, east of the town of Magoyao and the city of Qufu in Jining, south of the town with the township of Xiang Drinking, west of the town of Baxianqiao Street and Mound Township, and north of Jiangjizhen, with an area of 132.25 square kilometers of town administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Ge Shi Town has a household population of 67,921. In 1983, it was changed to Ge Shi District.In 1985, the district was abolished and divided into Ge Shi Township and Shi Ji Township.In 2001, Shi Ji Township was merged into Ge Shi Township. As of June 2020, Ge Shi Town has 27 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is located in Ge Shi Village.
