Magyao Town, belonging to Ningyang County, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, is located in the central east of Ningyang County, east of Huafeng Town, south of Qufu City, Jining, west of Geshi Town, Jiangjizhen border, north of the Dawen River, the town's administrative area of 158.72 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Zhaoyao Town has a household population of 116,069. In 1983, Nanyi District was established, and in November 1985, the northern part of the town was established as Magyao Town; the southern part was established as Nanyi Town, and in February 2001, Nanyi Town was merged into Magyao Town. As of June 2020, the town has 92 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government of the town is located in West Taiping Village.
