Daan Town, belonging to Yanzhou District, Jining City, Shandong Province, is located in the northern part of Yanzhou District, bordering with Yaocun Town, Qufu City in the east, Yanzhou District in the south, Xinyi Town in the west and Caohe Town in the north, with the town people's government 14 kilometers away from Yanzhou District, covering a total area of 75.56 square kilometers. In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), the territory was set up as Daan Town; in August 2008, the whole town of Gucun Town and five villages of Xinyan Town were adjusted and incorporated into Daan Town, and merged with Yanzhou Economic Development Zone, and the town and district were united under one management; as of the end of 2018, there were 48,321 people with a household population; as of June 2020, there were 53 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Daan Town; and the town people's government was stationed in Hougucun Village. In 2011, the local financial income of Daan Town was 227 million yuan, of which the local income from two taxes was 205 million yuan, an increase of 27.6% over the previous year; from the point of view of each major tax, the business tax was completed at 29.48 million yuan, the value-added tax at 188 million yuan, and the enterprise income tax at 0.7 billion yuan; in 2018, there are 166 industrial enterprises, 51 enterprises above the scale, and there are business areas of more than 50 square meters or more 114 comprehensive stores or supermarkets.
