Park Overview
Established in April 2006, the Weishan Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level economic development zone approved by the People’s Government of Shandong Province. Over 4 billion yuan has been invested in infrastructure development, completing a “seven horizontal, four vertical” road network. More than 500,000 square meters of high-standard industrial buildings have been constructed, and the area with “nine utilities and one leveling” infrastructure now spans 12 square kilometers. In April 2020, institutional and mechanism reforms were completed, establishing a “Management Committee + Company” model. Two state-owned enterprises—Weishan County Xingchuang Investment Co., Ltd. and Weishan County Xingchuang Investment Promotion Service Co., Ltd.—are responsible for investment and financing, infrastructure construction, and investment promotion. The park has consistently adhered to the principle of “projects first,” continuously strengthening industrial development. It has preliminarily formed a “2+6” modern industrial system, with new materials and biomedicine as the leading industries, and new energy, next-generation information technology, healthy foods, equipment manufacturing, textiles and apparel, and commerce and logistics as specialty industries.Current specialty parks include: the Rare Earth Industrial Park, the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Industry Park, the Weishan Xingchuang Industrial Park, the Polymer Materials Industrial Park, the Healthy Food Industrial Park, the Chuanda High-Tech Park, and the High-Tech Industrial Park. With its superior entrepreneurial environment and comfortable living conditions, Weishan is emerging as a thriving destination for investors and a premier platform for entrepreneurs from all over the world to establish and grow their businesses.
