Longwan Township, belonging to Fushun County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern suburb of Fushun County, east of Tongsi Township, south of Pipa Township, west of Donghu Township, north of Daiji Township, riding the dragon town. It is 15 kilometers away from the county town. The total area of the jurisdiction is 50.77 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Longwan Township had a household population of 34,246.
It was set up as Longcui Field in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, Longcui and Wan'ao farms were set up, belonging to Guofokan Fortress.In 1958, the township was changed to a commune.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In April 2001, Longcui and Wan'ao townships were merged to form Longwang Township. As of June 2020, Longwan Township has 2 communities and 9 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Wan Au Field.
