Anzhou District is a municipal district of Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, located in the southwestern part of Mianyang City, the northwestern part of Sichuan Basin and the middle part of Longmen Mountain Range, between latitude 31°23′-31°47′N and longitude 104°05′-104°38′E. According to the preliminary planning of the centralized development area of Mianyang Science and Technology City, the centralized development area involves the parts of Jiepai Town, Xingren Township and roots of Chuengsheng Town of Anzhou District, and it will greatly expand the development space of Mianyang Science and Technology City. It will greatly expand the development space of Mianyang Science and Technology City. With a total area of 1,181.14 square kilometers, Anzhou District has a resident population of 383,700 as at the end of 2022, with an urbanization rate of 44.76%. As of June 2023, Anzhou District has nine towns and one township under its jurisdiction, with the District People's Government stationed at No. 8 Yinhe Avenue, Hua Chu Town.
Anzhou District was established in 347 AD (the third year of Yonghe of the Eastern Jin Dynasty) and is the hometown of Li Tiaoyuan, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, and Shading, a famous modern writer. The main attractions in the area are Thousand Buddha Mountain, Luofu Mountain, Baishui Lake, Sisters Bridge and Wenxing Pavilion. Anzhou has a superior location and convenient transportation. Close to the Chengmian-Guangzhou Expressway, 108 National Highway, Mianyu Expressway 3 high-grade highway, the region's highway mileage reached 2,139 kilometers, the S418 line, S216 line, tourism ring road, Mianan the second fast-track and other backbone roads and Liaoning Avenue, Liao'an Road, Chengqing Road, etc. framed a "horizontal eight vertical a ring" of the whole region's transportation system, with the city as the core of the regional half-an-hour economy, and the city of Anzhou. In March 2019, the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization of the district area list. on December 6, 2019, selected the national farmers cooperatives quality enhancement of the whole county to promote the pilot unit.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Anzhou District was 23.32742 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1% over the previous year at comparable prices. Among them, the primary industry realized an added value of 356,071,000 yuan, an increase of 4.6%; the secondary industry realized an added value of 1,041,250,000 yuan, an increase of 4.5%, and the industrialization rate reached 35.17%; and the tertiary industry realized an added value of 935,421,000 yuan, an increase of 6.1%. The structure of the three industries is 15.3:44.6:40.1. The per capita GDP of the whole region reaches RMB 60,971.0, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year.
