Shatang Town, belonging to Lund County, Guyuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is located in the central part of Lund County, neighboring Chengguan Township and Chenjin Township in the east, Fengling Township in the south, Shenlin Township in the west, and Zhangcheng Township and Yanghe Township in the north, with an administrative area of 75.97 square kilometers. As of the end of 2020, the household population of Shatang Town was 14,980.
In the early years of Hongwu of Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Bilongli of Longde County, and in February 1984, it was restored as Shatang Township, and in May 1993, it was established as Shatang Township. As of October 2021, Shatang Township has 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Shatang Village.
