Shiye Town, belonging to Dantu District, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the northwestern part of Dantu District, separated from Heping Road Street of Runzhou District in the east, Gaozai Street in the south, Xiashu Town of Jurong City in the west and Zhenzhou Town of Yizheng City in the north, with an area of 52.75 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Shiye Town is 14,325.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), it was Shiye Township in the second district of Zhenjiang County; in 1983, it was restored to Shiye Township; in 1999, the township was abolished and reorganized as Shiye Town. As of June 2020, Shiye Township has 5 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located in the new street of Shiye Market Town.
