Chenji Town, belonging to Yizheng City, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the north of the central part of Yizheng City, connected with Liuji Town in the east, bordering with Maji Town in the south, connected with Yuetang Town in the south-west, bordering with Tianchang City of Anhui Province in the west, and adjoining with Dayi Town in the north. The administrative area covers a total area of 81.55 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Chenji Town had a household population of 41,282. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Chenji Township was set up, belonging to the eighth district of Jiangdu County; in 1999, Chenji Township was abolished, and Chenji Town was reset. As of June 2020, Chenji Town has 2 communities and 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The town people's government is located at No.3 Shanglin Road.In the first half of 2021, Chenji Town realized a financial income of 187.92 million yuan. In September 2021, Chenzhi Town was selected as one of the "National Top 1000 Towns in 2021".
