Tinghu District, belongs to Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, it is the political, economic and cultural center of Yancheng City. East to the coast of the Yellow Sea; south and Yancheng City, Dafeng District border, west and Yandu District across the street, north and Jianhu, Sheyang 2 counties connected, with a total area of 800 square kilometers. 2022, Tinghu District resident population of 683,000 people, the household population of 673,300 people. Among them, New Town Street, Bufeng Town is managed by Yancheng City Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, Huanghai Street, Xinhe Street and Wuyou Street are managed by Yannan High-tech Zone Management Committee.
In 1983, Yancheng District and Yancheng County were abolished and Yancheng City was established as a prefecture-level city, and Yancheng Town in Yancheng County was set up as an urban area of the city. 1996, the suburban area of the city was reorganized as Yandu County, and the urban area of the city was renamed as Tinghu District in 2003. After nine zoning adjustments, it has become a typical urban-rural composite urban area with the characteristics of "main urban area and large rural area".In July 2019, it was selected as a pilot county (district) for the National Intellectual Property Rights Project.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Tinghu District will be 66.951 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0%.
