Yangping Town, belonging to Quyang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southern 10 km of Quyang County, bordering Dicun Town in the southeast, Wende Town in the northeast, Zhengmo Town in Xinle City in the south, Nanqiao Town in Xingtang County in the west, and Xiaolin Town in the north. The jurisdiction has a maximum distance of 12.4 km from east to west and 5.3 km from north to south, with a total area of 48.46 square kilometers and a total household population of 48,039 (2018). In 1953, West Yangping Township was established.In 1991, West Yangping Township was changed to a township.In 1996, North Yangping Township was incorporated and renamed Yangping Township. As of October 2019, Yangping Township has 13 village committees under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located in West Yangping North Village. There are Quxin Highway, Shuo Huang Railway, and passenger station in Yangping Township.On July 27, 2017, Yangping Township was publicized by the Ministry of Housing and Construction as the second batch of national characteristic town. In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Yangping Town was 58.13 million yuan, accounting for 13% of the gross national product, and the net income per capita of farmers was 3,521 yuan; the added value of industry was 730 million yuan, an increase of 16% over the previous year; and the total sales of social commodities was 9.86 million yuan.In 2017, there were a total of 151 enterprises, with a total number of 812 employees in the enterprises, among which there were 135 industrial enterprises, with two of which above the scale. In 2018, there are 136 industrial enterprises in Yangping Township, including 2 above scale, and 48 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
