Zhangdeng Town, belonging to Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southern 13.7 km of Qingyuan District, bordering Shiqiao Town and Donglu Town in the east, neighboring Wenren Town in the south, connecting Ranzhuang Town in the west, and Beidian Township and Shiqiao Town in the north. The maximum distance between the east and west of the area is 10 km, and the maximum distance between the north and south is 11.6 km, with a total area of 55.38 square kilometers and a total household population of 40,831 (2018). Zhangdeng Township was named after the township's government seat located in Zhangdeng Village.In 1961, Zhangdeng Commune was analyzed and established.In May 1984, it was reorganized into Zhangdeng Township; in November of the same year, Zhangdeng Township was changed into a town. As of October 2019, Zhangdeng Township governs 12 administrative villages, including Zhangdeng, and the township people's government is located in Zhangdeng. In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Zhangdeng Township was 410 million yuan, accounting for 40% of the gross domestic product, and the industrial gross domestic product was 490 million yuan; the total retail sales of social commodities amounted to 34.07 million yuan, an increase of 1.6% compared with that of the previous year.In 2017, Zhangdeng Township's township-wide local tax revenue was 230,000 yuan, and the national tax revenue was 370,000 yuan.
