Beidian Township, belonging to Qingyuan District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the central part of Qingyuan District, 8.1 km away from the urban area, bordering with Shiqiao Township and Zhangdeng Township in the east, Ranzhuang Township in the south, Baituan Township in the west and Qingyuan Township in the north. The jurisdiction has a maximum distance of 7.7 km from east to west and 8.7 km from north to south, with a total area of 45.02 square kilometers and a total household population of 33,154 (2018).
Beidian Township, named after the township government seat located in Beixindian Village.In May 1984, it was reorganized as Beidian Township.In January 1996, Tiangezhuang Township was merged into it. As of October 2019, Beidian Township has 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located in Beixindian Village. There are Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Baoheng Road, and Tourism Road running through the whole territory, adjacent to the inlet and outlet of Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway.
