Shenxing Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Mancheng District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northern part of Mancheng District, belonging to the semi-mountainous area townships, bordering with Dazhuying Township in the east, neighboring with Mancheng Township in the south, connecting with Shijing Township and TuoNan Township in the west, and connecting with Bailong Township in the north. The maximum distance between east and west of the jurisdiction is 8.5 kilometers, and the maximum distance between north and south is 9 kilometers, with a total area of 73.7 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, the total household population of Shenxing Township was 43,390.
Shenxing was named after the meteorite fell from the sky. During the Republic of China period, it belonged to Yi County.In 1984, it was reorganized into Shenxing Township.In February 1986, it was reorganized into Shenxing Township. As of June 2020, Shenxing Township has 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township people's government stationed in Shenxing Village. 1988, Shenxing Township started to hold the "Shenxing National Farmers' Poetry Festival". There are Jingkun Expressway, Jinbao North Line and Jingzan Line, the provincial highway, passing through the town. The rivers in the town belong to the Caohe River system, and there is the Caohe Ferry Tank for South-to-North Water Diversion. There is a tourist attraction Mancheng Persimmon Ditch.
In 2013, the total agricultural output value of Shenxing Town was 276 million yuan, accounting for 26% of the town's gross regional product, and the per capita net income of farmers was 8,195 yuan; the gross industrial product was 300 million yuan, accounting for 52% of the town's gross regional product.In 2017, there were a total of 126 enterprises, with 3,355 employees in the enterprises, among which there were 91 industrial enterprises, with seven of them above the size of the scale.In 2018, Shenxing Town has 80 industrial enterprises, including 6 above scale, and 29 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
