Zhamlong Town, belonging to Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, Pu'ning City, is located in the eastern part of Pu'ning City, bordering Pu'ning City District in the west, Chendian Town, Chaonan District in the east, adjoining Nangyi Town in the north, and Jungbu Town and Xiajieshan Town in the south. The total area of the jurisdiction is 52 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Zhamlong Town had a registered population of 197,246.
Zhamlong Town was called Zhamlong because it formed a marketplace between East Zhamlong and West Zhamlong. During the Republic of China period, it belonged to the fifth district and the third district of Puning County. in March 1958, it was incorporated into Zhamlong Township. in September 1958, it was incorporated into Zhamlong People's Commune. in 1983, the community was abolished and set up as a district. in 1986, the district was abolished and set up as a town. As of October 2022, Zhamlong Township has 2 communities and 37 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The town people's government is located in Zhamlong Town, Cuinan Road No. 1.
In 2017, the total industrial and agricultural output value of Zhamlong Town was 43.502 billion yuan; the industrial and commercial taxes were 139 million yuan, of which 98.5642 million yuan was state tax revenue and 40.7 million yuan was local tax revenue; the fiscal revenue was 156 million yuan; and the fixed asset investment was 5.472 billion yuan.
