Lihu Town, belonging to Puning City, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwestern part of Puning City, adjacent to the Rongjiang River, and is situated in the combination of the Rongjiang Plain and the Nanyang Mountainous Area. The town has a total area of 84.9 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Lihu Town had a household population of 120,071. As of June 2020, Lihu Town has 2 communities and 23 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 1957, Lihu Town was established.In 1958, it was changed to Lihu Commune.In 2003, Shipai Town was abolished and merged into Lihu Town. Lihu Town is a tea distribution center in the east of Guangdong, known as the "township of hot springs" reputation, there are overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots more than 40,000 people. With a superior geographical location, it is the western gateway of Puning and one of the three central towns of Puning.
In 2018, Lihu Township budgeted tax revenue of 12.08 million yuan, completing 118% of the beginning of the year budget number of 10.286 million yuan, fiscal and tax revenues were overfulfilled, with 4.44 million yuan of income from the allocation of the package target, 27.38 million yuan of income from the higher level subsidies, and 470,000 yuan of income from the balance of the previous year, with a total budgeted revenue of 44.37 million yuan, which is 11.26 million yuan more than that of the previous year.
