In 2018, building upon portions of the Songshan Lake National High-Tech Zone, the Songshan Lake Science City was planned and constructed by integrating parts of surrounding towns—including Dalang, Daling Mountain, and Huangjiang—covering a total area of 90.5 square kilometers;In July 2020, it was jointly approved with Shenzhen’s Guangming Science City to establish the Pilot Zone for the Greater Bay Area Comprehensive National Science Center.
