Jianggu Town, belonging to Sihui City, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, is located in the north-central part of Sihui City, and is connected to Xiahao Town and Didou Town in the north and south. The total area of the jurisdiction is 132.82 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Jianggu Town has a household population of 42,549.
After the Qin and Han Dynasties, it belonged to the land of Sihui County. In the 13th year of Yuanjia (436) of the Song Dynasty in the Southern Dynasties, Hwacheng County was set up here, which was later changed to Hwamu County and belonged to Suijian County. In July 1945, Jianggu Township, which was originally part of Guangning County, was transferred to Sihui County, and in September 1958, Jianggu People's Commune (also known as the Fifth District People's Commune) was established, and in 1961, Longjiang, Jianglin, and Xiahao Mao were separated to form a separate people's commune, and in August 1983, the commune was abolished and changed to a district, and in March 1987 it was changed to a town.
