Park Overview
According to the plan, the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing (Huaiji) Economic Cooperation Zone covers a total area of approximately 200 square kilometers and will be developed in three phases. The planned area for Phase I is approximately 53 square kilometers, for Phase II approximately 52.6 square kilometers, and for Phase III approximately 94.4 square kilometers. Of this, the planned area for the initial development zone is approximately 10 square kilometers.The Economic Cooperation Zone is accelerating its planning and construction based on the principles of overall planning, phased implementation, and market-oriented operations. Building on the development of the initial phase, the zone aims to achieve the goal of “laying the foundation in five years, completing the initial phase by 2018, and achieving significant development by 2018.” By 2017, infrastructure construction will be fully underway, and the initial phase will show significant progress. The population of the Economic Cooperation Zone is projected to reach 160,000, with a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 3.9 billion yuan and a per capita regional GDP of 24,000 yuan.Total industrial output value will reach 9 billion yuan.
