Datian County, also known as "Yancheng", is one of the cities of Southern Fujian, and speaks Datian, a language of Southern Fujian. The county was founded in 1535 under the Yanping Prefecture of Ming Jiajing, and since 1983 it has been under Sanming City of Fujian Province.
