Beigao Town, belonging to Licheng District, Putian City, Fujian Province, is located on the southeastern coast of Licheng District, east and north of Hanjiang District across Xinghua Bay, south and west of Xiuyu District, Daitou Town and Watshi Town, and northwest of Huangshi Town, with an administrative area of 71.17 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Beigao Town had a household population of 123,223. During the Song and Yuan periods, it belonged to Chongfu Township; during the Ming and Qing periods, it belonged to Xingfu Li of the Sixth District; in June 1992, it was changed to a township, both belonging to Putian County; on February 28, 2002, it was assigned to the jurisdiction of Lycheng District. As of October 2021, Beigao Township has 1 community and 23 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's government is located at 59 Shangde East Road, Beigao Village. In 2019, Beigao Town has 104 industrial enterprises, of which 15 are above scale; there are 5 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
