Chengtou Town, belonging to Fuqing City, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is located in the northeastern coast of Fuqing City, at the junction of Changle, Fuqing and Pingtan counties (cities), connected with Songxia Town of Changle District in the east, facing Fuqing Bay and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone in the south, neighboring Haikou Town in the west, and connecting to Nanling Town in the north, with a total area of 77.01 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Chengtou Town had a household population of 64,574.
During the Tang, Song, and Yuan Dynasties, it was set up with 4 li (永宾), Fangcheng (方成), Xin'an (新安), and Fangmin (方民), and belonged to the township of Senshou (感德乡); in September 1955, it was set up as the Chengtou District (城头區); and in November 1991, it was abolished to form a town. As of June 2020, Chengtou Township has 1 community and 26 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located at No. 299, Dacuo Village, Chengtou Township.
As of the end of 2019, Chengtou Town has 78 industrial enterprises, of which 45 are above scale, and 52 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
