Sidu Town, belonging to Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, is located in the southwestern part of Changting County, neighboring Maotian Town in the east, Hongshan Township in the south, bordering Ruijin City and Huichang County in Jiangxi Province in the west, and adjoining the towns of Gucheng and Cevu in the north, 36 kilometers away from the county seat of Changting County, with the total area of the region of 340.3 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Sidu Town was 16,725.
From the 25th year of the Kangxi period (1686) to the 5th year of the Guangxu period (1879) of the Qing Dynasty, it was affiliated with Chengshangli; in 1996, it was changed from Sidu Township to Sidu Town. As of June 30, 2020, Sidu Township has 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction; the township's people's government is located in Tongren Village.
As of the end of 2019, Sidu Town had 25 industrial enterprises and 56 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
