Longshi Town, belonging to Chongqing Hechuan District, is located in the northeastern part of Hechuan District, bordering Xianglong Town and Shuanghuai Town in the east, Lotus Town in the south as a neighbor, Qiantang Town and Shayu Town in the west, Longting Town and Lexian Town in Wusheng County, Sichuan Province in the northwest, and Xiaojia Town and Xialong Town in Yuechi County, Sichuan Province in the north, and is 32 km away from the seat of the People's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 119.93 square kilometers.
During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), the area around Longshi Town was set up as Hezhou Longshi Town (field); in December 1993, Longshi Town was established by the merger of Longshi Township and Sunjia Township. As of the end of 2018, Longshi Town had a household population of 81,082. As of June 2020, Longshi Town has 1 community and 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at 46 Huashi Street.
