Guandu Town, subordinate to Hechuan District of Chongqing Municipality, is located in the east of Hechuan District, connected with Xiaoshin Town and Lai Tan Town in the east, separated from Shuangfeng Town and Shitan Town by the river in the south, bordered by Yunmen Street in the west and adjacent to Lai Tan Town in the north, 28 kilometers away from the seat of the People's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 61.01 square kilometers.
In the second year of Qing Xianfeng (1852), there was a Guandu field in the area of Guandu Township; in December 1993, it was merged into Guandu Township by Guandu Township and Fangbei Township. As of the end of 2018, Guandu Township had a household population of 37,098. As of June 2020, Guandu Township has 1 community and 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located at 462 Guanxin Street.
