Panglong Town belongs to Liangping County of Chongqing Municipality and is located in the southeast of Liangping County.The center of the town is located at latitude 30°63'85″N, longitude 107°85'97″E. The town is adjacent to Fulu Town in the east, Bajia and Daguan Towns in the south, Liangshan Town in the west, and Chengdong Township and Fulu Town in the north. It is 12 kilometers away from Liangping County in the north and 84 kilometers away from Wanzhou District in the east.In 2014, Panglong Town has a total area of 96.27 square kilometers. It has 10 villages under its jurisdiction, with a total population of 26,613 in 2012; in 2012, the town realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 170.86 million yuan. The topography of Panglong Town is high in the east and low in the west, high in the north and low in the south. The climate is subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 15℃ and an annual rainfall of 1200 millimeters. Within the territory, there is Coiling Dragon Cave as one of the four ancient caves in China.
