Xiaotangshan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Beijing's Changping District, is located in the eastern part of Changping District, between longitude 116°20′26″~116°29′00″ east and latitude 40°07′03″~40°12′20″ north. It borders Zhaoquanying Town in Shunyi District in the east, Beijijia Town in the south, Baishan Town in the west, and Cuicun Town and Xingshou Town in the north. The town area is 70.18 square kilometers. From the liberation of Changping to March 1949, Xiaotangshan area belonged to Changshun County. in April 1949, Changshun County was divided into Changping and Shunyi counties, and belonged to Changping County's four districts, which were stationed in Xiaotangshan. in February 1956, Changping County was changed to districts, and Xiaotangshan area was divided into four sub-districts, with 8 townships and 83 villages under its jurisdiction. in October 1958, Dongfeng Commune was set up and stationed in Xingshou, with 6 townships under its jurisdiction, such as Xiaotangshan, Xingshou and Dadongliu, etc. in November 1958, Dongfeng Commune was changed to Dashu Township. In November 1958, Dongfeng Commune was renamed Xiaotangshan Commune, with jurisdiction over Xiaotangshan, Dongcui Village, Shangzhuang, Xingshou and other 10 workstations. 1959 November, Beijijiajiazhuang, Songlangbao, Shaha 3 workstations precipitated. 1961 July, Changping District was changed into a county, and the large commune was restructured into a small commune, Xiaotangshan Commune was established, with jurisdiction over Hou Niufang, Xiaotangshan, Asuwei, Guan Niufang, and other 10 teams. 1982 December, the commune was changed to a township. 1990 July, the commune was changed to a village. In July 1990, the township was changed to a town.In December 1997, Dadongliu Township was incorporated to form the present jurisdiction. As of the end of 2018, Xiaotangshan Township had a household population of 35,468. As of June 2020, Xiaotangshan Town has 4 communities and 24 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town government is located in Daliushu Village, Xiaotangshan Town, Changping District. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Xiaotangshan Town reached 1.44 billion yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. The total financial revenue of 160 million yuan, an increase of 28% over the previous year. Among them, the local financial income of 85.361 million yuan, an increase of 18.4% over the previous year.
