Shahe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changping District, Beijing, is located in the south of Changping District, between longitude 116°13'19"~116°21'27 "E and latitude 40°05'24"~40°10'34 "N. It is bordered by Baishang Town in the east and Beijijia Town in the south, neighboring Dongxiaokou Town and Huilongguan Street in the west and Yangfang Town in the north. It is bordered by Baishang Town and Beijijia Town in the east, Dongxiaokou Town and Huilongguan Street in the south, Yangfang Town in the west, and Nanshao Town and Machikou Town in the north. The town area is 54.7 square kilometers. In February 1949, Shahe area belonged to Changshun County. in April 1949, it belonged to the second district of Changping County. in July 1953, Shahe Township was established, with the jurisdiction of 1 street and 6 villages. in February 1956, Shahe Township was merged into Daxiang Township, and renamed Shahe Township. in August 1958, it was belonged to Hongqi Commune. in November 1958, Shahe Township was changed to Shahe Workstation, which was belonged to Xiaotangshan Commune. in November 1959, Shahe Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Commune was established, and the management of Shahe Township was changed to Shahe Work Station. In November 1959, Shahe Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Commune was established and Shahe Township Management District was set up. in June 1961, Shahe Sino-Vietnamese Friendship Commune was abolished and Shahe Commune was established. in July 1981, Shahe Commune was transformed into a township. in January 1987, Shahe Township was merged into Shahe Township. in June 1990, Shahe Township was divided into Shahe Township and Gonghua Township. in October 1993, rural areas under Gonghua Township were merged into Shahe Township. in December 1997, Shahe Township was re-merged into Gonghua Township and Gonghua Township was reorganized into Shahe Township, Gonghua Town were reincorporated into Shahe Town.In October 1999, Qiliqu Township was incorporated.In December 1999, Changping County was reorganized into a district.On November 28, 2007, the Shahe Regional Office was established, while retaining the Shahe Town establishment. As of the end of 2018, Shahe Town had a household population of 52,701. As of June 2020, Shahe Town has 21 communities and 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town government located at Baisha Road, Shahe Town, Changping District. In 2011, the total industrial output value reached 33.02 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4% over the previous year. The total fiscal revenue amounted to RMB 190 million, an increase of 12.4% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of sales tax of 0.07 billion yuan, value-added tax of 0.03 billion yuan, corporate income tax of 0.03 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 30.8%, 2.7%, -14.6% over the previous year. Per capita fiscal revenue of 1,714 yuan, an increase of 12.4% over the previous year.
