Haidian Town, also known as Wanliu District, is a town under the jurisdiction of Haidian District, Beijing, located in the central part of Haidian District, between 116°13'57"~116°17'49 "E longitude and 39°58'25"~40°00'17 "N latitude. The area is divided into north and south, with the south area stretching from Wanquanhe Road in the east to North Fourth Ring Road in the south, from Kunming Lake Road in the west to Zhongzhi East Road in the north. The northern part of the area extends from Jingmi Diversion Canal in the east to Yangshui River in the south, from Yuquanshan West in the west to Dry River in the north. The precincts are divided into 2 areas, Qinglongqiao and Liulangzhuang, with a total area of 4.8 square kilometers.
In September, 1952, Haidian area belongs to Haidian district. in September, 1958, the establishment of Haidian people's commune. in February 8, 1960, Qinghe, Dongsheng 2 commune merged into the Haidian people's commune. in April, renamed Qinghe people's commune. in 1961, reset the Haidian people's commune, under the Haidian, WanQuanZhuang, LiulangZhuang, Xiyuan, Qinglongqiao, xiaojiahe 6 brigade. 1969, the tree village brigade merged into. On April 4, 1984, Haidian Commune was changed to a township, and in November 2001, Wanliu District Office was set up, with Haidian Township and the District Office as a system of "one set of people and two brands"; in November 2011, Haidian Township was changed to a township, and Wanliu District Office was retained. As of June 2020, Haidian Township (Wanliu District) has 2 communities and 4 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2018, Haidian Township (Wanliu Area) had a household population of 13,008.
By the end of 2011, Haidian Town had accumulated 14,000 mu of afforestation, with a forest coverage rate of 23.7%, and a per capita net income of 19,068 yuan for farmers. The total financial income was 48.23 million yuan, an increase of 4% over the previous year.
