During the Republic of China period, the Andingmen area belonged to the Inner Third and Inner Fifth Districts, and after 1949, it belonged to the Third and Fifth Districts, the East Fourth District, and the Dongcheng District successively. in April 1949, the street government was built in Daitoujiao, Fangjia Hutong, Chechenchendian Hutong, Niangniangmiao, Liulisi, Zhaofu Street, and Xiaoyingtang. in 1955, it was five streets, namely, Baozheng, Chechendian, Xiaoyingtang, Yongkang, and Toujiao. In December of the same year, it was merged into 3 streets of Baobin, Chegengdian, and Yongkang.In 1958, it was merged into Andingmen Street.
