Chaoyangmen Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Dongcheng District, Beijing, is located in the east-central part of Dongcheng District, between longitude 116°24′41″~116°25′43″ East and latitude 39°54′56″~39°55′23″ North. It is adjacent to Chaoyangmen South Street and Chaowai Street in Chaoyang District to the east, adjacent to Ganmian Hutong and Lumicang Hutong and Jianguomen Street to the south, bordering Donghuamen Street to Dongsilandajie to the west, and adjacent to Dongsilandajie by Chaoyangmennei Street to the north. The area has a maximum distance of 1,432 meters from east to west and 876 meters from north to south, with a total area of 1.2 square kilometers.
During the Republic of China period, the Chaoyangmen area belonged to the Inner First District. after 1949, it belonged to the First District, Dongdan District and Dongcheng District successively. In April of the same year, the street government was built in Chaonei Street, Caijiayuan, Lishi Hutong, Former Fried Noodle Hutong, Shijia Hutong. 1955, it was three streets, Former Fried Noodle, Zhugang Lane, and Dafangjia. 1958, in September, it was merged into Chaoyangmen Street.
As of June 2020, Chaoyangmen Street has 9 communities under its jurisdiction.In 2011, Chaoyangmen Street had a total population of 42,318, 129 commercial outlets, and a total financial income of 59.88 million yuan.
