Pu'ethere Town, belonging to Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is located in the southwestern part of Longyang District, neighboring Xinjie Township and Hanzhuang Township in the east, Shuichang Township of Shidian County in the south, bordering Lujiang Township in the west, and connecting with Yangliu Baiyi Township in the north, with an area of 308.46 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Puyao Township was 52,231.
During the Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty (1506-1521), it was divided into nine miles; in 1996, Pu'ethere Township was abolished and changed into a township. As of June 2020, Puyue Town has 23 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government resides in Puyue Village.
In 2019, there are 14 industrial enterprises in Puyue Town, of which 5 are above scale, and there are 70 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
