Gum Township, belonging to Reze County, Ali Region, Tibet Autonomous Region, is located in the northeastern part of Reze County, bordering with Nima County, Nagchu Region in the east, Dongtso Township in the south, Tsabu Township in the west, and the Coco-Columbia Mountains in the north, with an administrative area of 12,556.66 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Gum Township has a household population of 2,543.
In 1960, Reze County was set up; in September 1963, Kanto District was established, to which Gum Township belonged; in 1999, the district was abolished and townships were established as Dongtso Township and Gum Township.
