Taitou Town, belonging to Jinghai District of Tianjin City, is located in the southwest of Jinghai District, connecting Duliu Town in the east, Wangkou Town and Liangtou Town in the south, Tanli Town of Wen'an County of Hebei Province in the west, and Xinzhang Town of Bazhou City of Hebei Province in the north, with an area of 56.6 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Taitou Town had a household population of 25,792. Taitou Township was originally part of Dacheng County; in August 1950, it was part of the fourth district of Jinghai County; in June 1989, Taitou Township was removed and set up as Taitou Township; in August 2001, Erbao Township was abolished and incorporated into Taitou Township. As of June 2020, Taitou Township has 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located at No. 1 Xitai Road.
