Zhongbei Town, belonging to Xiqing District, Tianjin, is located in the northeast of Xiqing District, Tianjin, neighboring Xiyingmen Street in the east, connecting to Tianjin High-Tech Zone and Huayuan Hi-Tech Industrial Park in the south, bordering with Yangliuqing Town in the west, and connecting to Yangliuqing Farm in the north across the Jinpu Railway, and is 6.5 km away from the government of Xiqing District, with a total regional area of 40.14 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Zhongbei Town had a household population of 68,490. During the Han and Jin dynasties, the territory of the current Zhongbei Township belonged to Dongpingshu County; in 1977, Zhongbei Xiexiang Township was changed to Zhongbei Township. As of June 2020, Zhongbei Township has 28 communities and 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In December 2016, Zhongbei Township was listed as the second batch of national comprehensive pilot areas for new urbanization. As of the end of 2019, Zhongbei Township has 582 industrial enterprises, including 73 above scale, and 91 general stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
