Xinkou Town, belonging to Xiqing District of Tianjin, is located in the southwest of Xiqing District, bordering Zhangjiawo Town in the east, Duliu Town and Liangwangzhuang Township of Jinghai District in the south across the Duliu Reducing River, adjoining Yangfenang Town of Bazhou City of Hebei Province in the west, and connecting with Yangliuqing Town in the north, with a total regional area of 62.91 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Xinkou Town was 39,596.
During the Han Dynasty, the territory of the current Xinkou Town was under Dongpingshu; in 1997, it was changed from Shangxinkou Township to Xinkou Town. As of June 2020, 18 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Xinkou Town, with the town's people's government stationed in Shangxinkou Village.
As of the end of 2019, there are 207 industrial enterprises in Xinkou Town, of which 28 are above scale, and there are 54 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
