Fort Town belongs to Shanghai Chongming County, located in the central south edge of Chongming Island, 23 kilometers from the county town. East of the ferry port and Xianghua Town, southwest of the Yangtze River South Channel, northwest of the small vertical river up the port and vertical new town neighbors, north of the port along the town border. The center of the town is located at latitude 31°32′35″ N, longitude 121°37′55″ E. In 2010, the town realized value-added of 728 million yuan, an increase of 8% compared with 2009. 2012, the administrative area of the town of Baozhen is 61.30 square kilometers, with a total number of 27,499 households in the town, a total resident population of 67,509, and a household registration population of 59,735 people.
