The Shanghai Guangfu Economic Development Zone is located in Zhongxing Town, on the eastern part of Chongming Island—China’s third-largest island. It lies 1.5 kilometers from the Chongming exit of the Yangtze River Tunnel and Bridge, borders a national nature reserve to the east, and is adjacent to the world-renowned Guangfu Temple to the west. Established in 1992, the zone was originally named Shanghai Guangfu Industrial Co., Ltd. and was later renamed the Shanghai Guangfu Economic Development Zone.The development zone comprises multiple functional areas, including industrial parks, business centers, and research institutions, providing enterprises with a favorable investment environment and policy support.
