Penglai Town, belonging to Daying County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, is located in the central part of Daying County, the seat of the county, connected to Longsheng Town in the east, Tianbao Town and Zhuozhujing Town in the south, Yufeng Town in the west, and Xiangshan Town and Tongxian Township in the north. The area is 125.48 square kilometers, with a household population of 84,175 as of the end of 2019. At the beginning of the Five Dynasties, Hakkan Town was renamed Penglai Town. It belonged to Pengxi County in Yuan.In 1950, Penglai District was set up.In 1985, the district was changed to a town.In August 2019, Cuntangkou Township and Tongxian Township were abolished, and the administrative areas belonging to them were transferred to the jurisdiction of Penglai Township.
